I've been wavering on hunting Africa for a few years now. Some of you might remember this post, where I was basically asking for input before doing a lot of research with outfitters and areas.

Little did I know that I would stumble upon a hunt report by Frostbit a short time later with an outfitter that seemed to meet all of my requirements.

When I first talked with the outfitter, I was looking for a rugged plains game hunt but just couldn't pull the trigger as we were leaning towards a Tur hunt instead. As me and my hunting partner were flying to China for work, we talked a lot and decided to price out a an affordable DG hunt and that is when I contacted Andrew again.

We did a lot of talking and now we are booked for a 2x1 Cape Buffalo hunt with Andrew Baldry of Royal Kafue. I liked the area he is in, his general attitude towards the hunt, and his community style hunting concession.

I wish we were leaving tomorrow! Can't wait...

Andrew is great both in the field and around the campfire. You will have a good hunt.

You will get a chance to enjoy "real" Africa with a very hard working and enjoyable hunting partner in Mr. Baldry.

Be sure to enjoy all the "little things" like hunting Doves with a .22 near camp. Quite tasty wrapped in bacon.

There's also good Barbel fishing at the outlet of the Mutambashi tributary across from camp.

If you have any questions give me a holler anytime.

Cheers
Jim

bhtKevin, You will love hunting in Zambia!

Zambia is about the last of the real old time Africa. I've hunted Zambia in three places. I've never hunted with Andrew, but have conversed with him on several occasions, and in fact he invited me to come set around his camp fire as a guest. Though I have not hunted with him it is not hard to recognize the fact that he knows his business, and would be a great guy
to hunt with, and if I get back to Zambia his camp will be where I will hunt from.

A few members here on AR have hunted with Andrew, and all have expressed a positive opinions of both Andrew, his camps and his concessions! I have little doubt you will have the time of your life there!

......................................................good hunting, tu2
