SaeedThe Latest Addition To Our Family
We were given a pair of hedgehogs about 8 years ago. We made a temporary fence for them out in the garden, and by the next morning they were gone!
About a month ago we found this little baby in the garden.
We took him, and have been keeping him with us.
As you can see, his right front foot has lost all its toes. Probably something has bitten them off.
He is very friendly now, and does not seem to be scared at all.
My daughter Hessa insists that he eats with us on the dinner table!

Steve MalinverniIf it has no fleas you could satisfy her, probably it could be intrusive and confusion maker but at least funny.
The important is that you do not allow to Hessa to read my answer.
Verify if it is a fleas carreer, please Saeed do unt understimate my suggestion

Thank you for your concerns.
He has already visited the vet, and the vet has pronounced him fit to live with us.

That is just what my wife was saying a few minutes earlier as we were playing with this little fellow!
He kept running around the room, and always came back to me.
My wife "He recognizes the family resembelance!"!

CanuckNow that is just about as cute as can be!

IIRC, Hessa's birthday is sometime around this time of the year? If so, please wish her a happy birthday for me.

Best regards my friend,

DesertRamI had an African Pygmy Hedgehog as a household pet for 6 years and loved it. She was quite a handful (attitude!), but was a lot of fun. On a vet's advice, I routinely fed mine insects, either by dropping something in her cage or by letting her run the yard to "graze."

Use Enough GunHas Hessa named it, and is it a boy or a girl?

prof242I wonder which little girl in UAE has her father wrapped around her little finger?

Oh, oh, don't bring up granddaughters and grandfathers here in the states. I might resemble the remark.

SaeedChris,
Hessa 5th birthday is on the 25th of this month. I will pass on your happy wishes.
Yesterday Walter went over to the pool where Hessa and some of her friends were having a swim. A little while earlier, before he came, the girls found a very young dorca gazzele baby sleeping under a tree. He must have been no more than a few days old.
I managed to slowly get closer to him and caught him. The girls enjoyed stroking him, then we let him run to his mother.
Anyway, Hessa was telling Walter how cute that baby gazelle was, while she was sitting on his lap.
Walter "I bet he was not as cute as I am?"
Hessa "He is MUCH cuter than you are"
Me "Sweatheart, I think Walter would look very cute if he did not have that beard."
She started to pull his beard off, Walter screamed, then the other girls joined in to help rid Walter of his beard.
Sadly, I did not have a camera, as Walter was fighting the girls off, and they are laughing so much. I wanted him to get closer to teh pool, so he can be helped to jump in. But, I think he got the idea and stayed far away from it.

HarlandSaeed,
Hessa is indeed a very lucky girl - bet there are damn few baby hedgehogs in Dubai's concrete jungle!! Reminds me of my African hedgehog I raised when I was 10 - cutest thing since bubblegum.
Happy Birthday for the 25th. Hessa!
