283 until my next Ele safari. This one will be my first Ele with a DR - Sabatti 500 NE. Like Will (Bill Stewart) says "Once you've been amongst them, there's no such thing as too much gun!" I learned that myself in 1998, when I killed my first Ele with a .375H&H. I immediately started looking for a bigger gun and have had many since. 160 days have to come and go till I get on the big bird headed east.This will be my second trip for elephant. We seldom get to choose But I've seen them go both ways And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory Than to slowly rot away! | |||

We're heading to SCI this January to look at hunts & options. At this stage I don't have any idea how long I will have to wait or what rifle I will be using, but hopefully 2011 for bull elephant (#3) with a double rifle. Good hunting everyone! JB | |||
