I had told people of the most amazing Lion that would reside in my project area with another impressive brute especially during the wet season and was repeatedly recorded by myself my scouts and others. I had a chance to monitor these beasts and they were never recorded with females and remained solitary. They had displaced my resident pride and an equally impressive male and for me these two males would be the obvious Lions to target and meet all the criteria as dictated by current law.

Mostly they would appear when my Lion hunters were absent and I had tried to hunt them with two AR members but to no avail. No skin off their nose and the low daily rates were in line with a Buffalo safari. It was fun trying but having my area burnt to a cinder and what with other disruptions it was not to be.

Then one early morning this year this Lion made a mistake. A quick financial discussion and a handshake and my companion walked to the outskirts of my kitchen and shot him at first light.

We smoked the most expensive cigars ever made and took some photographs.

interesting to note that my pride male returned soon after and he is equally impressive. One day and when he is alone I will target him. Not to mention the other male of this duo and the southern cat whose large prints decorate this soil.

Was the Lion calling in the morning for a cup of coffee?

Well done Mate.
