What will be the end result if you keep advocating for closure of hunting!

JohnHuntRelax.... there won't be any poaching after they end hunting.
The hunting blocks will become villages, farms, and ranches. There won't be any wildlife so there won't be any poaching.
Exactly like what happened in Kenya.
But don't worry the lion will live on in the parks and zoo's around the world.
And then we can be happy that no one is hunting them. Because hunting is just plain mean.

Arild IversenWhy in heavens name did not the park rangers shoot the poor creature and put him out of this misery instead of taking photos?
Or perhaps they were only armed with a camera?

They are fine with this. That is what they have just recently done with Dama Gazelle, Scimitar Horned Oryx and Addax.
They don't care about the damn animals, THEY JUST WANT HUNTING STOPPED!

JohnHuntIt is worse then that. Many would prefer the actual extinction of a species over allowing hunting. You can't debate the conservation benefits of hunting with them. It is a binary conversation, yes or no.
Those people amaze me sometimes.
Make no mistake ultimatly we are not fighting for the continued right to hunt. We are fighting for the continuation of these species. Hunting is a benefit and an indication that we are winning by having a large enough population of a species to actually hunt it.

It probably wasn't the park ranger who saw it. I'd assume it was a photographic tourist who took the photos and the guide probably didn't have the authority to shoot it and put it out of its misery.

FrostbitI placed a pertinent question in the comments.

David CulpepperI finally went and check out Lion Aid's website and facebook page and they are pretty pathetic. If you say anything on their facebook page that does not fit in their scheme of things they ban you and delete all related posts.
I see they claim to be a not for profit organization but I can't find on their website or facebook page what % of the donation actually go to lion conservation. My bet that this is just another one of these typical "animal lovers" organization that 90% of donations go to administrative expenses (you know salaries and benefits) and only maybe 10% of donations actually go to what they claim to be all about.
Good Hunting,

Singleshot03"Lion Aid" may be a UK non profit but they are not on the IRS website. So any donations by Americans are not tax-deductible.

NakihunterWe have been having a good debate for a while. Now they have banned Aaron and some others. I managed to stay on but now they are ignoring me and not replying to my questions - particularly - why are they not acknowledging facts like hunting outfitters providing the only anti poaching service in remote wilderness areas that are prime lion habitat!

JohnHuntI suspect Dr. Kat had a little conversation with his minions. At least the minions that can post under his alias "LionAid".
They are probably pretty desperate to dissengage from us as they were losing the logic arguement and were losing there composure.
I think some educational materials sent to whomever they are meeting with (Gov't etc) would take the wind out of there sails quite readily.

+1 and I can say I have seen this happening unlike most most of these "green fools".
