JBrownI really don't know what is more stupid, the PETA idiots trying to pass this off as real(with the cheesy PETA narration) or Bulldog posting on Youtube.com that it was a cull hunt. What self respecting game ranger would wear that Elmer Fudd hat and smile all big and dumb for the camera after shooting that poorly?

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.
Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

WhitworthThat has got to be the first time I have heard that shooting an elephant is like shooting the broad side of a barn. Unbelievable.

youtube.com is the same source that showed pictures taken by Iraqi terrorists showing a sniper shooting an American soldier (through a window) and also of a IED blowing up an American vehicle (also shot from the terrorist perspective). I just hope that our people are investigating just how youtube.com got these pictures and just who the people are who own that website. Please, any ACLU types, spare me the preaching about "free speech". I just want to know how the owners of that website got those pictures. I belong to an older generation that thought once and still does that "giving aid and comfort to the enemy" was treason and those pics in my view met the definition. I care less whether PETA is aided by the youtube.com film than just who youtube.com is. That pic of a sniper picking off an American soldier kinda upset me. Apparently it didn't upset any American politicians since I've seen no comments. But then, what else is new?

zimbabweIs not youtube like myspace where anyone can put anything on their space and have it be seen. There is also a video of shooting T.Rex that I think came from AR on youtube. There are no restrictions and no monitoring I can see the same as Myspace. It's the 'new' concept on the internet. I don't know who is owner of Youtube but isn't Rupert Murdock the owner of Myspace which I think I read is now being introduced to China. Makes one wonder.

BearhunterHonestly, you would be surprised at the ones that truly believe what they see or hear. And, a tuff thing to combat, with such vivid filming.

SGraves155This clip is from an Italian "documentary" which came out in 1975 called "Savage Man, Savage Beast". There are some really interesting clips and some really amuzing faked clips in the film. Some of the more interesting real clips show cape buffalo and elephant being killed with spears. It was in the same genre' as "Mondo Cane", etc. It is full of lots of B.S., but I enjoy watching it every few years.
