Apparently the guy never heard of a telephoto lens.

Well like all shutter bugs he knew elephants are not dangerous! Here's my camera's close up lense!

We were in Kenya once and went for a walk with three families with young kids.

They sent a one eyed game scout with us, armed with a 416 Rigby.

As we started the walk, I asked him to give me the rifle if we get into any dangerous situation.

We saw lots of elephants.

Luckily none showed any signs of being belligerent.

And the game scout was as good as his word. He stayed right next to me when we got close to the elephants.

Some had massive tusks.

Well, it killed him. That does certainly does classify as serious injury.

Depending on where in the world you receive your medical care, the leg injury could be the least of your worries!

Well he got the real 'eco' African experience!

As they say in the industry, he developed a sudden dirt allergy.

This ignorance of animal behavior causes a lot of problems in the US State and National Parks. Whether it is bears, bison, elk, moose, or alligators, much of the public seem unaware of the risks involved in invading the animals "personal space" and this can lead to unpleasant results.

It's all Walt Disney's fault.
