I hunted an ele bull with CMS in Dande East in 2015 after the Obama embargo, so I knew going in that I was not going to be able to import my ivory to the U.S. I do have replicas. I am investing in a vacation home in Argentina as now I go at least annually to shoot birds, so I want to import them there. CMS has informed me that they still have my ivory and they need the contact information for a customs broker in Argentina to initiate the process. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’ve thought the same for a couple of things I have… Be aware…I was told I couldn’t as the CITES was based on my home Passport (which I only have US) Now my place is in Mexico but I was told I couldn’t do an Export CITES to anywhere but my “Home Country” I hope maybe I was misinformed and am interested in what you find out.

Good point, Kpoynter. In your case if you really want those trophies all you have to do is carry on living in Mexico for five years, take the Mexican history test (Mexican history may be very different from Texan history) then swap your American passport for a Mexican one. What's not to like?
