I love the looks of the Brown Hyena. Much more sinister and wolf-like looking than the spotted. tu2 Unfortunately they are banned from import into the U.S. or I would shoot one and have it full body mounted! Big Grin

Congratulations once again Anton!

Anton was the winner of a photographic competition I held on another forum earlier this year as part of my marketing campaign for Arc Africa Hunting Safaris.

Anton took some good trophies during his safari and I'm sure he will be posting some more photos soon.

I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself and my Outfit to the AR community.

I am a qualified Civil Engineer who recently discovered how short life is and thus chose to follow my dream of becoming a full time Outfitter in Africa.

My Outfit, Arc Africa Hunting Safaris has been operational since 2014 and I am enjoying every moment of this venture.

I'm Looking forward to becoming an active member of AR, learning from the more experienced campaigners and hopefully able to contribute something to the forum.

Regards

Thanks Anton,

I'm sorry to hear about your bag! Hopefully you get it back soon and that all is in order when you do. Wouldn't want your gifts and possessions be lost.

I've actually seen more Brown Hyena than Spotted on my 12 Safaris. This includes seeing them in both Zimbabwe and in South Africa. I have called Browns right in with a predator call and also both Spotted and Browns with a CD that has hyena sounds on it. In fact, I gave one of my PHs a copy of the CD and he has used it to kill many Spotted Hyena with his clients. Big Grin
