Use Enough GunI love the looks of the Brown Hyena. Much more sinister and wolf-like looking than the spotted.

Unfortunately they are banned from import into the U.S. or I would shoot one and have it full body mounted!

25 June 2015, 02:38
A.DahlgrenIt will be full mounted next to my spotted

I have had them on license in Namibia earlier but failed. Got this one the last night on the trip!
Congratulations.
Nothing quite like a brown hyena, a beautiful animal.

Try calling the spotted variety in, it's good hunt!
25 June 2015, 03:29
dogcatI have tried hunting them on 4 trips. never have even seen one! Way to go.
I think I am the only guy that has hunted in Africa 10 times and never seen a hyena!!!
I think I would go on a trip just to hunt them...

PoyntmanCongrats! Great trophy and, as usual, great picture.
Also, as stated above guys, try calling them in!!! I did it in Dande East and it was a fantastic experience!

Justin CawoodCongratulations once again Anton!
Anton was the winner of a photographic competition I held on another forum earlier this year as part of my marketing campaign for Arc Africa Hunting Safaris.
Anton took some good trophies during his safari and I'm sure he will be posting some more photos soon.
I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself and my Outfit to the AR community.
I am a qualified Civil Engineer who recently discovered how short life is and thus chose to follow my dream of becoming a full time Outfitter in Africa.
My Outfit, Arc Africa Hunting Safaris has been operational since 2014 and I am enjoying every moment of this venture.
I'm Looking forward to becoming an active member of AR, learning from the more experienced campaigners and hopefully able to contribute something to the forum.
Regards

A.DahlgrenThanks! I do have had the luck with great trips!
25 June 2015, 23:09
Use Enough GunI've actually seen more Brown Hyena than Spotted on my 12 Safaris. This includes seeing them in both Zimbabwe and in South Africa. I have called Browns right in with a predator call and also both Spotted and Browns with a CD that has hyena sounds on it. In fact, I gave one of my PHs a copy of the CD and he has used it to kill many Spotted Hyena with his clients.
