Here is one I do not mind posting and this picture (stealth cam) was taken on my Kafue boundary by my good friend Adam Buske. He took this Lion's brother which was darker maned. Adam is managing the private Mushingashi hunting estate for some seriously wealthy individuals and this Lion is not for sale.

However I have a plan which consists of a couple of crates of cold beer and a substantial drag. After all what are friends for?

Nice lion.

Which once again proves my point. If you want big lions quit shooting the little ones!

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Hmmmm... more bait? I have to move Zambia up on my "next hunts" list!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Funny. Two Lions were on this bait and Adam shot the biggest of the duo leaving this chap behind. Will post photo shortly.

I got this all wrong and this is the same Lion as indicated above. Adam has a night image of another brute but he did not come to bait during daylight hours.

Excuse the photo quality as it was photographed from an album and I had to crop out the hunter. The lady is Adam's girlfriend.

Word I got is Adam smacked it the same day the photo was taken. Nice lion and if you get the other one on film I would love to see it.

Dawnroar,

Contact adambuske@yahoo.com and get him to send you a copy. The Lion has darker mane. I think when Adam shot this he remarked the other was roaring in the background.

Thanks, I haven't talked to Adam since his dark days at S&S. I heard Luke was in your neighborhood recently and he is very high on the genetics in the area. I haven't hunted Zambia since 06 and with all that is going on elsewhere I think it has the potential to be the premiere lion destination now that Bots is done. I am starting to see the right things happening with quota as well. For a while they just killed too many. How close is your concession to Adam's boundry?
