Stupid idiots showing off!

Both the client and his stupid non professional hunter!

That buffalo would have been dead in his tracks if a 12 year old kid was using a 375! clap

A friend's son was here last week.

For fun, I loaded him a reduced load in the 375 H&H.

He got all three shots into a 0.77" group!

I did not tell him they were reduced!

He started by shooting a 223, then a 308, then a 375!

He absolutely loves shooting!

A PROPER hunter in the making.

Unlike those two stupid idiots in the video above! clap

Thank you for posting this video. It's been many years since I last watched a Mark Sullivan video and I had almost forgotten just how bad they are. Poor tame farmed bulls. How to bring DG hunting into disrepute! I have seen a wounded buffalo drop like a stone at that range with a .270 bullet in the neck but he missed 3 times with a 600. Do you laugh or cry?

You silly man!

Don't you realize what a LEGEND Mark Sullivan is?

OMG, this is bad.

What a classic Mark Sullivan self-parody!

As soon as he said, "I only take eight bullets," I immediately hit stop and switched to the next YouTube video.

"Chinese Singles Seeking Love."

It was so much better on so many levels. rotflmo

There is a fairly lengthy post here on AR about the hunt featured in the video. I think it might have been Cal Pappas' last hunt before he passed away. It was fair to say that both Cal and Mark Sullivan were well and truly roasted for such a sad and silly display.
Give Cal his due, he took the roasting mostly good naturedly. I'm not sure why anyone would want to post a video like that but Cal seemed to be quite proud, if not infatuated, to hunt with Mark.

I watched the video back when Cal posted it and was surprised, considering his experience with double rifles, just how flustered he got when trying to reload his double after missing the buffalo with his first two shots. Maybe having the condescending MS standing next to him caused that. A bolt action might have been more effective in that situation not the much vaunted 600NE double Confused

I never paid much attention to the Mark Sullivan issue. After watching the video, I have to agree with Saeed. That guy is really a legend in his own mind.

Folks,

I found the comments following the video interesting. Seems those folks are in total disagreement with you guys BUT it also seems the commenters have no experience. I can see that to a total newbie this could be quite appealing. To me it would be fun but far from a traditional buffalo hunt.

Mark

Years ago, I used to show his videos here to prospective hunters.

Showing them how NOT to hunt buffalo.

Apparently he had repeat clients!

Someone mentioned his hunts and shooting clients buffalo is like taking your wife to w whorehouse and offering her services while you watch! rotflmo

The thing about Sullivan is that he does know his way around a double rifle and can shoot well under pressure.

But when it comes to hunting, that’s about all there is to say on the positive side.

In my book, all the rest is negative.

x2. One of, if not the finest gentleman I've ever met. We visited him at his cabin, one time. He met my special son, Brian.

For probably 10 years, until his passing, he never once forgot to send Brian a birthday gift.

Did a double rifle Australian Buffalo hunt with him once. He was so much fun to be around.

Really miss his wit.

The only thing I never understood about Cal was his hero worship of Mark Sullivan.

Cal was a double rifle genius who was generous with his knowledge. I learned a lot from him.

But his choices in hunting and hunters were anathema to me.

RSA and Sullivan for Cape buffalo?

Come on.

It must have been more about the hardware than the hunting for him.

Hi Mike,

I believe that Mark Sullivan did some hunting out of South Africa after the Tanzanian hunting block was lost.

Sullivan was hunting out of a few camps, for lion and cape buffalo.

The year that Cal went on his hunt I believe was the last that Sullivan hunted Africa. I am thinking that He moved his hunting operation to northern Mexico for deer.

He went to Alaska and screwed things up again, as usual for him.

Not sure what happened to him after that.

Without a shadow of a doubt, THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL hunter that has guided in Africa!

His only obsession is with himself!
