Rick RI've seen one guy wearing them, but it was in my office and there aren't many thorns there. He did say they were pretty comfortable.

ivan carteri have a pair and use them for canoeing and actually hippo and croc hunting ...they are great and surprisingly tough ....

kayakerGreat kayaking shoes, but pricey for what you get. Allow tall paddlers to still wear footwear in small freestyle kayaks. They grip really well too!
I think they would make nice warm water wading shoes for fishing.

boom stickI have tried them on and unless you have the foot shape of the toes area they don't work.
Being a surfer the ones with the big toe and the other toes all together work better for me.
I hear reports of them being used even in the military.
