I have been a fan of TAA since the 1st time I watched it many years ago. Since then there has been a few changes including the shows host. Dave still manages to put out the very best hunting shows each & every year regardless. I think highly of both Craig Boddington & Ivan Carter. Why they left the show or whether it was on good terms or not is absolutely none of my business. I wish them both success & happiness. But Dave & Tim seem to be the anchors that holds that ship in place & I have to thank them for a job well done & for overcoming the obstacles they have faced. Keep it up fellows. Cecil Leonard LORD, let my bullets go where my crosshairs show. Not all who wander are lost. NEVER TRUST A FART!!! Cecil Leonard

Who besides ISS watched the show to see the hosts anyway? The most boring hunting show in the world is watching the same guy shoot animal after animal, episode after episode. (But hey, I do like Randy Newberg!) Keep up the good work Dave!

Cecil and AR brothers Thanks so much for your kind words and continued support of TAA and D&D. Indeed, we are out of the star making game, it is problematic on a number of levels I won't get into here. But the common thread has always been, and will continue to be, that the safari adventure itself, the different locations, the game, the PH's and the clients who love Africa will continue to be the star of our shows! This is year 10 for Tracks, one of the longest running series on Outdoor Channel. There have been challenges aplenty along the way, but the passion of our team is still alive and well, and I am so proud of the Safari Classics team, their hard work, talent, and dedication to bring you shows that you will enjoy, and we are proud to put our name on. Fellas, many, many thanks for your support. Means the world! Cheers Dave Fulson

Yes, I liked the show much more when Craig Boddington was the host. Anyone could go to DSC or SCI, and actually get a minute or two from Craig. You didn't have to buy a book or dvd, he always had time to chat. IMHO, Ivan was always there to sell hunts. That's not a value judgement, it's just how I saw him. People watch Dave Letterman and Jay Leno for the same reason. There were a hundred British groups singing in the sixties, with a basic beat and similar voices. Why did the Beatles and Rolling Stones dominate the charts? Why do the 'Stones continue to tour to sellout crowds fifty years later? A knowledgeable host carries the show, and segments segue seamlessly because of that ability. It has been shown on TAA, and other shows that there is a rare talent to doing one. There are at least a dozen outdoor shows on today, a couple about Africa. Can you name them all, or the hosts, or even the day and time they are on? Those of you who prefer the new format, enjoy it and tape it if you wish. Replacement people/things aren't all bad. Just look at Pre-64 Model 70's. Or the near extinction of manual transmission performance cars. All of those computer gizmos make new cars better, safer, and more fuel efficient. Prime examples of how change is bettering the landscape.

For my time spent watching a hunting show, Tracks is still far and away the best. I care much less about the host than I do about the content ... and Tracks always delivers a very high quality hunt content. I like that there are different hunters each week ... many of them friends or acquaintances of mine. I think it would be hard to deny that TAA has been the driving force for improving several hunting shows airing today. Shockey's show is of high quality as well but the "woe is me" drama gets old. Tracks is consistent in showing real guys on real hunts having a great time on safari. IMO, THAT is the real star of the show! No Bromance with a host required!

Frankly, one of the only shows I ever watch on outdoor television. Hosts come and go, but in the case of TAA - great quality hunts/footage is what has made this series so good for so long!!! Dave and Tim both deserve the credit, as does the editor Christy! If not for them and their hard work/dedication - the show would have run its course long ago.

Agreed on the quality of Tracks. I still cuss TWC for not including Outdoor on the main lineup. I offer to trade Oprah, Garden, and many other channels to add Outdoor. Dave, please don't let Shane Mahoney be the new host. He said great things, but slightly creepy. I meant to be DSC Member...bad typing skills. Marcus Cady DRSS

I blame TAA, Craig Boddington, and Peter Hathaway Capstick for enticing me to book two very expensive safaris in Zimbabwe (2013 & 2014). BC- So you are saying Ivan Carter is now gone from TAA? Hadn't hear that one yet. If true, then TAA becomes a total has been for me and will only watch most likely on occasion rather than a "must see". Agree on the Shane Mahoney thing. First thing I do, literally, is cut his pages out of Sports Afield, before I start reading it. Larry Sellers SCI(International)Life Member R8 Blaser Sabatti "trash" Double Shooter

I have had almost every annual safari since the turn of the century video'd. The past four years I have used Safari Classics exclusively and have appeared on TAA a couple times. In my experience Dave & Tim have the best cameramen in the business and produce a consistently high quality product. Always a small issue here or there, but then I strive for the best and they always try to make corrections to meet my needs. Well, one guys writes for a living and the other guy takes folks on hunts for a living, so their different approach to their TV role and persona are logical. Hunting: Exercising dominion over creation at 2800 fps.

I agree that every host runs it's course and then viewers just tune them out. Change is good for everyone The only time I had problem with TAA is when Cable company wouldn't show what was on so DVR kept recording everything over and over again so everytime I got back from the road it was a mess on my DVR. But that got straightened out and Voila... Love the show Now just a bit of a request Dave. I'd love to see a couple of episodes on some good bush pig hunting, maybe Red river hog, Giant Forest hog. As my name suggests, some good ole' boarkilling When in Vegas, I"ll stop by and gotta buy your Buff DVD " Until the day breaks and the nights shadows flee away " Big ivory for my pillow and 2.5% of Neanderthal DNA flowing thru my veins.
