A while back I posted some pictures of my little girl with a Dassie she shot as her first trophy using my grandfathers Winchester .22.
Since then she got a new little rifle that fits her much better. The rifle is a little Pink Cricket in .22
As the hunting season is winding down I finally had the time today to take her hunting with it.

The excitement on her face when she shot her first animal with it was priceless.

As things are progressing now you will probably see reports here in 15 years time of her guiding clients with a Pink Double .470 Nitro.

HI Johann,

When I showed your previous post of your lovely daughter with her dassie to my kids (twin boys aged 5 and daughter aged 8 back then), they "forced" me to take them hunting as well. They all eventually "drew first blood" on a dassie and have urged me at every opportunity to take them again, this time for something bigger! tu2

Ufortunately, in Tz one has to be 18 years or older in order to legally hunt. thumbdown

I just LOVE everything about the posting! Just love the kid-sized rifle!

Can just think about the comments if I were to get a pienk stocked little rifle for one of my grandsons! Won't live that down easily!

In good hunting.

Wonderful head shot, no wasted meat. You should be very proud. Glad to know someone else has a safari outfit just like mine!

Tis better to go hunting with a kid than to go hunting for the kid.....an old saying....

That little girl is a darn lucky gal! Her smile says it all!

Congratulations!!!

My eldest daughter turned three this year, and when i asked her what she wanted for her birthday, her reply was a pink rifle!!!

She is still a little young, but no doubt i will be getting her one in the next couple of years!

Great photos. I love the cricket rifle. Bought one for my daughter when she was 4. Guys at the gun store loved it when she came to pick it up.

Johann: I can't believe how much Zoë has grown! That's good shooting with the little Cricket. I am amazed you were able to fit a scope to it.
