Let's start this over and welcome a new member, Dave Fulson, in appropriate style. He's produced excellent hunting videos and has written good articles, and will be a great addition to the forum.

Great post!
Dave,
Welcome to the forum!
24 March 2009, 22:34
Michael RobinsonI will also second that, Steve.
AR can be an excellent forum, and is one of the best there is when it comes to hunting, firearms and related matters.
Unfortunately, it can also be among the worst, mainly because there is very little "preventive" moderation, and it is open to anyone and everyone. That can be a real drawback from time to time.
Some posters (thankfully few in number) have less taste and fewer manners than God gave to swine.
But the
laissez faire approach can also be a real strength - as there is very little filtering of opinions or judgments - and many who post here have a lot of experience.
So, just ignore the swine - and you'll find that the good outweighs the bad by a huge margin.

Use Enough GunDouble agreed on Dave. He is a fine gentleman, and a knowledgeable and excellent hunter. And he has co-authored and produced both videos and books that are valuable to the African hunting community.

BwannaWelcome Dave! I hunted with Chifuti last year and most of my pre-hunt booking and arrangements were made with Dave. He looked out for me, advised me correctly, remembered my specific requests and was a real gentleman.
I hope you contribute frequently.

Andrew McLarenWelcome to the forum.

Everyone here has an own opinion. Some keep their opinions for themselves. Many air their opinions in public. This is more often than not to the benifit of many. Sometimes the many would be better off if a few kept their opinions to themselves rather than airing it in public!

Just ignore those opinions. And if you find that you want to consistantly ignore the opinions of any one poster, well there is an ignore function.......
Welcome, share your opinion and knowledge here to let each decide to ignore or learn from your opinion & knowledge.

In good hunting.
Andrew McLaren

Dave FulsonHi Guys
I really appreciate the warm welcome to AR. I have long been a reader of the forum , and have enjoyed the back and forth when I log on.
There are a lot of guys I respect on this sight, and no matter how much time you spend over there, you can always learn from others . It is always good to hear the thoughts of others concerning the places and game we love , and I plan to be as active as time allows on AR. Don't worry about a couple of guys who have different opinions running me off . I try to hear the complaints for what they are, and accept the compliments aimed at our team with a humble Thanks. I look forward to meeting many of you in the years ahead. Come by at the shows and say hello in person . Once again, thanks to all for the warm welcome.
Good Hunting
Dave
