Ticky,
Please keep me informed on hunts? I would be interested to see how your season goes, and what you have open for next year. Good luck.

Will do, we have recently completed a successful plains game safari as well as a short Croc hunt. 4 clients have hunted with me so far this year, all of which left with a smile. We will be busy again from 23 Jume to 23 Aug. I will let you know how they go. I believe you were considering, perhaps we will see you next year?

What is the status of the Bubiana Conservancy now? I wonder what if any has changed in almost 3 years.

I went there in Oct.. Had a blast.

There was some serious land grabbing in that part of the country, but be assured, there is still some great places that were able to weather the storm.

MC, as mentioned, it is the Drummond Ranch now. We are sold out for Leopard this year. Next door is the Bubye Conservancy, formally Lemco. My opinion of the Drummond Ranch remains steadfast; outstanding area for top quality Leopard, PG (including some excellent trophy class animals), upland birds, waterfowl and bass fishing. Accommodations, food, PH's and overall experience makes it perfect for a family safari as well. You will see a lot Elephant and maybe black Rhino. Definitely enough sign to know they are there.
Good hunting,
David

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

David,
Can you hunt Elephant there? Maybe a Leopard/Ele combo for 2012?

MC, Elephant are hunted in communal areas. However, with their numbers increasing annually on the ranch, it is a possibility that in the near future they may offer a very limited number. I will inquire and advise you.

To clarify, only a part of what was once the Bubiana Conservancy remains intact. Of the original 8 farms, I think only 3 are still OK ... Drummond Ranch, neighboring property (Collet's - Touch Africa) and Lemco (Bubye). The rest have been settled. The three that are left are being "persuaded" to hand over 51% to "indigenous" Zimbabweans as we speak. I suggest going soon.
