Recovered Bullets from Recent Buffalo Hunt

Attached are a few photos of recovered bullets from my recent Buffalo hunt in Zimbabwe. The bullets were all fired from a 450 Dakota rifle. All bullets weighed 450 Grains. Load was 112 Grains of IMR 4350. The X Bullets were recovered from a Cow Buffalo. The shot was from the rear and the bullets were recovered in the chest cavity. On the first shot, the Cow was broadside....that bullet was a pass through. Over all I was very happy with the results of this bullet on Buffalo. They make a very noticable "SMACK" on impact and the buffalo did not go very far.

The Last Bullet in the Photo is of a 450 Grain North Fork Cup Point. I have used these before on Elephant and Buffalo and have always had great results. This bullet was shot into a dead buffalo Bull from the rear and was found in the brisket area of the chest. This is the only North Fork Bullet I have ever recovered from an animal.

Can't get any better performance than this. And kudos for getting the bullets.
Tell me on the pass through, did the bullet go through just the ribs, etc, or was it a shoulder shot that busted up at least one shoulder?

I have recovered about a dozen cup points from buffalo and got the same picture on everyone of them that you have their, boreingly perfect performance..

I have used them to kill or shot them into dead buffalo in the 9.3x62, 375 H&H, 450-400, 404 Jefferys, .470 N.E. and 416 Rem..

It is the best one bullet, do all bullet, I have ever used, I wouldn't use anything else except I love to experiment and dig bullets..

I have also used the cup points on plainsgame with most of the above calibers with perfect success. They kill well even on Impala and don't destroy a lot of meat..

As far as I can tell the cup point will penetrate as far as any solid I have ever used. If you shoot a buff up the keyster, it will go into the shoulder or neck, that is what a solid will do...
