| I just looked it up on the Internet and according to the Rowland Ward website 24 is the minnimum and 28 3/4 is the record. I've never even seen an African lion in the wild, so that info is purely based on a quick web search. |

| Thanks Shakari. Was there a date on when the record lion was taken? I guess that 27 3/16" lion would score fairly high in the R&W book? |

| The record was taken in 1968 and assuming the one you measured had been through the drying out period and was eligible for measurment it'd be number 5 or so. If I remember correctly, Lions from SA and Namibia are no longer accepted for entry.
