That's a beautiful trophy, with excellent definition on the mask. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

Mine from October 2003 in RSA, not a huge one but a really fun hunt. Finally shot him in the neck thru a small opening on the brush while he was running. PH did not believe I could make the shot.

Taken in the Northern Province of RSA in 2004-near Ellisras. Not a huge bull-but a hard won trophy! Trophies are not dead animals...they are living memories.

U E G, What a lucky man you are to have hunted successfully such a fine trophy. The Gemsbok is one of my as yet unfufilled dreams. Once in the Transvall I saw the butts of two as they escaped into the thick... I don't even know how good they were nor if they were even shootable. Well done. The first one is my son's who was 14 at the time, a 38 incher shot with my much misused Ruger 7x57. The second one is a 42.5 incher shot with my Whitworth .375, both were shot in Namibia, west of Winchoeck. A shot not taken is always a miss
