WoodmnctryMounted leopard pics
Show me your kitty pictures --- mounted that is -- almost feel like I am posting on Walter's forum for redheads ---YIKES!!
But --- getting close to putting Mr. Spots into his final resting place on the wall or pedestal or ?? Problem is that I have not found or observed a form or mount that absolutely knocked my socks off. Thus if you have what you feel is the ultimate form / mount ---let’s see it!
Thanks
Garry
OMG!-- my bow is "pull-push feed" - how dreadfully embarrasing!!!!!

PalmerWell I admit the chip has been stuffed but I wouldn't shoot him.
He sleeps on my pillow and keeps me safe at night.

Oh, OK. That's cool. Just make certain to resist the temptation to offer it any wine, music and Xanax. Just saying...

Adrian ParhamCheck the back cover of Safari magazine.(current issue). That one does it for me and 4,900. seems like an o.k. price for that type quality.
I have no connection with animal artistry, but a leopard deserves a cool mount. Good luck!

Grrrrrr. I need a refund. I paid Dries extra to not tell that on me.
Actually it was one of my better shots considering that it glanced off the base of an adjacent tree and a warthog tusk prior to connecting.
Not sure why but Dries said I was the reason most PH's drink.

You may want to consider 2 things
1. What type of wood, if any, to mount on. I did not think about this and received a mount on iron wood, which was incredibly heavy to move, maneuver and mount on the wall. Did a LOT of damage to the wall.
You may want to consider a lighter wood for mounting, if you use it.
2. Specify the distance between mounting brackets placed on the back of your trophy. We have standard 18 inch studs in our wall in the US, so some variable of that will facilitate mounting. In my case, the mounts were on iron wood and some odd distance that required me to either construct a frame to mount the leopard upon, or to remove and re-drill the brackets- which I did but it was a royal pain...

Small price to pay. I mean not shooting a giraffe, of course.

Thanks to all you guys - there are some great mounts here and I'm sure a lot of proud hunters. I know that most of you worked really hard for these fantastic cats.
Cheers, Dave
I shot this one in June of 04 in Zim.
He's 8"1" nose to tail. He weighed about 200 Lbs.
Dirk Bawden is the taxidermist here in Utah.
I let him take it to some shows last year and he cleaned up. We may take it to the world show this year.

Most folks like the guard leopard in the lower right corner. Gives a new visitor to the house a start if they are on the porch and have not noticed him before.
One neat thing about getting your cat mounted like this one is that it weigh nothing and can be moved around the house as you like. It also is a heck of alot cheaper to have mounted than one with an enviroment.
