After having owned about 50 different 375s and also having been directly involved with heaps of others, one thing I have learned is that it is at a recoil theshold.

The one powder I have not tried is the Australian Benchmark 2 which I think Hodgdon sell as just Bnechmark.

Burning rate is between 4198 and 3031.

3031 with about 65 grains for 300s and 68 for 270s gets 2400 and 2600. Original ballistics. The recoil at this level, when quite a bit of shooting is done is significantly less than when usin bigger loads of slower powders or full loads of Reloader 15.

But I figure the Benchmark will do the same with about 60 grains and that would duplicate both velocities and powder weight of the original cordite loads.
