Ross,

I'm bearing down on 75 so I'm thankful to be still looking at the right side of the grass. Also I'm thankful for Sadie who has given me 43 years as my best friend.

I tell people I am always thankful, every day, when I can get out of bed and carry a normal life the whole day!

I wish you all healthy and happy days.

Always.

Thankful for being 70 and healthy. Thankful for the dumb luck of a pair of 19 year olds finding each other at a frat party and still together racking up adventures after 50 years.

But mostly thankful for an army of friends and a kind God that recently granted Joyce her hat trick, a third victory over cancer.

It teaches you to cherish every day for the gift it is.

Cheers
J&J

The fact that we are responding to this question is a plus.

One is thankful to be able to get out of bed in the morning. whoo hooo.

the past year has been a recovery year for both of us. We went the total knee replacement, and while we are getting around I have another 5 months before I will be able to schedule longer trips. My Doctor is concerned that I may develop a blood clot and when I asked about extended trips, he asked me if I would rather be in a hospital in some far off land or close by my personal doctors.

so I will be looking at the DSC convention for possible hunting opportunities for the end of 24 or into 25. Already making appointments to visit with a few on here.

besides, reading all the banter on here and other sites is entertainment that is free.

I am thankful for my son, my wife, and all of our healthiness.

I am thankful to be able to to coach baseball and have a positive influence on several young men’s lives.

But most of all…I am thankful for all of God’s Grace even though I know I am unworthy.

I'm thankful to have recently celebrated my 67th birthday with my wife of 45 years. Also celebrated 3 years of sobriety this past year and while I may no longer be much fun at parties, I'm certainly safer on the ride home!

This is most important, with Christ you have eternal life so you can go through the bad times.

I am thankful that my wife who was given 9 months to live in September 2022 was still able to take her grandchildren out yesterday to see Crocs on the Daintree River even though the chemo has stopped working. Hard to keep a good woman down!

My beautiful Lady Margaret is a three time cancer survivor. Each different type and each deadly as hell! Yesterday a doctor checked me out and stated thatI no longer have cancer.

So much to be thankful for. I have had a hell of a great life and sincerely hope that I have more years and more outstanding experiences.

I am also so thankful that when we got the terrible news that we had potentially fatal diseases - we did not worry about cost. Canada has universal health care. There was enough to worry about without `wondering how we could find the money to pay for medical specialists and all of the others that saved our lives.

To all of the wonderful Americans next door - enjoy your Thanksgiving! I will have a drink of Amarula to toast you all!

I hope that what you are thankful for, you get to be near that blessing this weekend.

I have two dinners. One with mommy adopted family, one with my in laws on Thursday. I am going to sneak a quick first light duck hunt in. After dinners, kiss my wife, hold our pup, and head to Missouri for the weekend hunting ducks and, hopefully, speckled geese.

We all, no matter where we live in this world, have things for which to be thankful. I’m thankful for many friends, some of whom I’ve only met because of AR. Thankful for prosperity and especially, good health. Family comes first, and I’ve been blessed to have quality children who are easy to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, no matter where in the world you may be.

Tongue in cheek. Thanksgiving means nothing to me apart from an absurd amount of turkeys being slaughtered for cuisine of which we Brits do over again for our Christmas. So I am thankful for not being a Turkey

Some wisdom and some humor there.

First and foremost, I'm thankful for family, friends and health.

I'm thankful that we live in a country where a kid can come from a blue collar background and achieve his dream as an 8 year old to hunt in Africa. Seemed unobtainable back then, but I'm both hard of hearing and have been accused of not listening. I use the former as an excuse for the latter.
