We don't have any trees in that part of Ethiopia big enough to hold one of em.

Great pics for sure guys, keep some more coming.. I'm seriously thinking of adding croc to the list next year when I head back to Zim.. Along with another ele, I'm going be adding a hippo bull for sure and was given the option of adding a flatdog for a really good deal as well.
Question,
what other options is there to do with a big croc once he's in the salt? I really dont want a 15' lizard in the house mounted lifesize.
I was thinking maybe a cool Euro mount and bring back a couple of panels of hide off of the various areas to get tanned and made into a briefcase or something to that effect.. Ideas?

I've seen a croc skull displayed under a glass coffee table that was impressive.

Your location says "A Texan" - BOOTS boy! You gotta have boots. What's that place in Fort Worth that's been around for 100 years? By the stockyards. I'm sure they'll work you "a deal".

When I envision a pair of croc boots, I instantly see in my mind a tall thin man of Hispanic origin, matching belt, cowboy hat creased into a taco, and BLARING tejano music as loud as it can go as he hauls ass in his short bed 1978 Chevy to the nearest watering hole!!!
I'll stick to my full quill ostrich Tony Lamas!!

I gotta say, those croc skin cowboy boots you Texans wear, really are the dog's bollocks as they say in the UK. thumb

Kwan/Walter,

Mate, I've gotta say the first of the two pictures you posted above really has to be one of the funniest and most unfortunate pics I've ever seen! Thanks sooooo much for making me laugh so hard. rotflmo

Still, I guess he's got somewhere to hang his hat, but I'm a bit concerned about what the guy in the red T shirt in the second pic is doing with his left hand. jumping

Bloody nice flatdogs though! thumb

Hey now.....don't be knockin' the big lizard boots too hard!! I just bought a pair of these square toe Lucchese Caiman boots back in December. In my opinion, they're the best looking gator/caiman/croc boot I've seen. I love them.....most comfortable boots I've ever worn.

(Mens boot on the left, ladies on the right.....also notice the small piece of caiman leather at the base of the pull straps)

God Lord... maybe I'm NOT the only guy in the world who likes croc hunting.
Let me ask you this " is there a more nervewracking shot on this planet than the second before you squeeze off on a really big croc ?"
The answere for me is no !! Buff, as much as I love to hunt them are just "same thing-different day" , but a croc on bag never gets old to me. I wish we had a few thousand of our big Zambezi types on our Rio Grande river , both for hunting and Nat'l security reasons. How politically incorrect am I feeling today? And do not think I am kidding one small bit. I was in Wal-Mart last night and I swear to God I was the only customer in the place that spoke english. Maybe some pirana might also add to "the diversity of area", something the left feels is the answer to my America first way of thinking. LOL

All right, I'll bite. What is a dog's "bollocks", as if I didn't have a general idea?

Dutch

Dutch,

I wasn't know you Americans didn't use the word. Bollocks are testicles....... If something is the dog's bollocks, it means it's absolutely the best or really cool!

In polite company, it might be changed to dog's doo dahs.

Probably a cockney or certainly a London expression originally.

Oddly, the word in pretty much any other context has a negative connotation.

For example:

That's bollocks = That's rubbish
Give him a bollocking = Tell him off
He dropped a bollock = he made a mistake
You're talking bollocks = You're talking shit

That nice Mt Google tells me the word dates back to the 18th Century.

So what I meant when I said those daisy roots (cockney rhyming slang for boots) are the dog's bollocks, I meant I really like 'em........ sadly, we can't buy that sort of thing here.

A girl was intrigued at the kilt that a Scottsman was wearing, wondering what he would be wearing underneath. “What’s underneath your kilt?”, she asked him. “Why don’t you take a look”, he replied. Curiosity over comming her, she lifted the kilt.then let it go,”Oh, it’s gruesome!” “Well, why don’t you take another look, it just grew-some more.”

Or......... the young female reporter asked the burly kilt wearing Scotsman 'Tell me sir, what's worn under the kilt' and the Scot replied 'Madam, nothin's worrrrn under the kilt, everything's in perrrfect worrrking orrder' rotflmo
