Found this link on another forum. I would like to build my own black rifle from scratch. The price for their stripped lower, even with light markings, is hard to beat. However, I know little about this company. What has your experience been with Spikes Tactical? Thanks for your info. Good Luck and God Bless.

With the exception of a billet lower choose whicever rollmark you like best as there are only a few companies that manufacture lower receivers. They are pretty much all made to the same standards.

Even lower parts kits are only made by a few companies.

Thanks for the information. I went ahead and made the purchase. The lowers look pretty good to me. I will report as the build proceeds.

Your lower is built by JD Machine Tech out of San Diego. It is probably one of the best/the best out there. "Best" is somewhat vague because like the previous poster stated the aluminum and parts all come from the same stock materials, HOWEVER. JDM has a cleaner finished product with somewhat tighter tolerances and their q.c. is very high. if you compare the pen holes that attach the lower to the upper you will notice they put a little more meat there and it has a slightly different design to help with strength/torque.

Perry,
Thank you for the technical info on this lower. That is good to know. Having the lower in hand, I can say that the finish and machining looks good to me. These are considered a "blem" because the milling of the safety/fire pictograms and other printing was not deep enough to be filled with color. For the bargin price they were offered, They appear to be a "smokin" deal to me. Again thanks, Perry for your post and God Bless.
