My wife paints, birds mostly. I asked her to paint something Africa.

This was her first “Africa” related painting.

Not bad at all Mike. Next painting try leaving a 4-inch margin around the work which enables you to shift the composition if need be. This one is a bit right side heavy.

Well done.

Great painting. Asymmetrical is part of nature...peeking from the edge!

Thanks to all for the comments. She enjoys painting and I believe she is talented, but my opinion is obviously biased.

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

Very good work. First African painting! Awesome.
Both pleasant and exciting. The opaque background adds a lot to the impact. I feel like he is a sleepy old bull who is waking up and just starting to develop some troublesome ideas about me. I want to walk back off slowly and just disappear into the bush.
Also, I like the birds.
I hope to see more of her lovely work.
Please keep painting. Brian

Wow! Amazing skill! I appreciate such work as I can't even draw a damn circle. I assume your wife's work will be in a gallery for sale somewhere. The buffalo looks pissed--just as he should!
