Almost too horrible to contemplate, but if Hildabeast wins, is there any place else to go? Switzerland seems to have gotten pretty Socialist (thus making the generations of work my family did ensuring that we'd be eligible to go back, pointless.) It seems as if the whole world's either fallen to the Socialists/Communists, or about to.

My brother and I don't know if we'd leave, but our parents have both said that won't live in the US under the b@tch, and if she wins, and starts trying to follow up on all her communist junk, it might be better to send our family somewhere else.

I think my parents might like Argentina, or Costa Rica, or Southern Brazil, but I don't know about the politics -- I do know that my father won't accept being disarmed.

I left the US 3 1/2 years ago and currently live in South America. I first lived in Punta del Este, Uruguay for 1 1/2 years and I now live in Santiago, Chile. I don't know if I could honestly recommend any South American country as they are all extremely backwards and socialism is a disease down here. Chile is a hole with pollution that will make LA look good. They are at least 50 years behind the US and prices for everything are through the roof! One example is a quart(liter) of Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil-------- how about 24.00 US!!! This is reflected in everything you buy here. It is the same throughout the continent. They don't make anything and the importers are greedy, so they stick in your ass at every turn of the road. Also bear in mind that very few speak English and really don't want to learn. There is nothing to hunt in Chile outside of a wild boar and the gun laws are draconian. The guns they have are not that good and you must take a psychiatric exam each time you buy a gun! These poor dummies require every gun to be turned over to the police for testing before you may own it. They fire each gun to be sure it has not been used in a crime. They even do this with shotguns!!!!!! You can see how backwards they are and it will only get worse. There is no reloading here and it is a crime to own loading equipment. Don't forget that the Spanish have always been afraid of anyone owning guns. The only people they ever beat up on were the unarmed natives of the countries that they colonized! I am writing a book on my experiences in South America so others won't make the same mistake. The ONLY thing that will save the US is for the masses to elect Ron Paul. The rest of the scum are the same old mainstream politicians that have ruined the country. The wop from New York is a cross dressing gun grabber, Fred Thompson has voted against gun owners on 14 different occasions, the mormon cultist is a gun grabber as well and there is no need to elaborate on the Dems as we all know what they stand for.

Brazil is another shit hole with import duties of 60% on any items shipped in from outside the country. Cost Rica is another dump that has little to offer and the Ticos will try and skin you at every turn of the road.

Argentina has the potential of being the best country down here except that the corruption is rampant from top to bottom. Buenos Aires is a fantastic city and the shopping and the women are over the top! The food in Argentina is probably the best in the world and the prices are excellent. Gasoline is reasonable and the air is pure. My next move may well be to Cordoba as I like Argentina very much. In closing, There is no place like the US and never will be. The US political system needs a severe douching if the country wants to remain First World! The crop of politicians are the scum of the earth and should be jailed for life. Feel free to PM me if you need more info.

I did not mind living in Venezuela for 2 years...

although that was about 8 years ago and I didn't have to drive there.

On the way to the airport our taxi guy cut off some other guy and just kept on going, we watched in the back seat as the guy went flying into the ditch by our old compound and later died

To each his own I suppose. I just don't like all the poverty and ignorance that seems to be prevalent where ever the Spanish and the Catholic church set up shop! The people are sooooo in the dark they will never get out.

What about Panama? I read an article a while back about what a great place it is to retire to...but there was no mention of hunting or firearms ownership.

Argentina sounds great, but it may well depend on knowing how things work down there.

New Zealand has pretty good gun laws but I am comparing to Australia. In Australia I own most types of firearms but there is licensing and registration but once thats done and if you live out bush or the Outback theres no problems

Brazil is way over 50 years backwards compared to US. Since it was discovered, it remanained the same, with the same few people ruling and thinking for the others. The worst part is that the major part os the population doesn´t mind at all !!! They just want to keep with their lives.

So, we already have great wilds places, undiscovered ones, great fauna and flora, but the future is certain death to all, since it´s all been destroyed for money.
I have had great adventures in this giant country, my ancestors were adventures in this land, I only could get the last part of a great history.

The left wingers are turning the country into shit, and even before them we had crapy guns/hunting laws.

The best part in brazil is the southern one, everything is better ( quality of life, scenario, land, better looking people, they can hunt legally, etc ), but, be aware that the sittuation has been dark for hundreds of years, with little chance of changes.

If I was moving to a SA country, living in Brazil as I am right now, I would go to Argentina, with no doubt. Uruguay would be the far second choice.

Unfortunatelly, we just have to deal with that.

Dude I was born and live in Argentina and I think that things in my country are starting to smell quite bad ... after reading these post were people living in neighbor countries assure my country to be a valid alternative where to live, I don't know if to feel lucky for living in a place where some respect and liberties are still found or to feel upset for the feeling that things would eventually go even worse ....

These populist governments that are spreading all over this side of the continent merely wants us to be ignorant and unarmed thus they can do with us whatever they want, governing us like livestock - not people ... and sadly the mass of the people in my country just want some wine and food for next meal and cares for nothing else which might mean future ...

I think the key for the maintenance of our style of life is EDUCATION

We have to educate the mass so as to make them aware of what we are risking to loose in this fight ... that they can effectively make their life better through work, and that fatalism thay have believing that things cannot be changed isn't a valid option... sadly we have to increase our forces, since the mass is ignorant and wants a calm life where they are told what, when and how ... sadly (and even worse) by the wrong and bad guys Mad

Kind of related to this line, does anyone know how a foreigner can contribute to Alutara? I've emailed them a couple times (admittedly in English) to ask how -- I haven't used my Spanish in many years...

Thank you for your support, Aglifter !!

My personal feeling is that Alutara's authorities consider these types of "approaches" like if they were being taken not seriously, like a sort of joke Frowner ... please forgive them their lack of credibility, but believe it or not they are too much accustomed to the argentine way of doing things Smiler (which is "when trouble comes you are alone and trust no one but yourself") and they do not expect to find the solidarity and support you are accustomed to find in the States ... we have a lot to learn, yet ...

Admittedly, this could be easier, legally, in Switzerland, but Pro-Tell just asks that you send a registered letter to them w. cash in it -- works quite well... Oh well... guess they're the first anti-communist charity to not need any funding...

Hmm, just got a message from them, essentially saying "thank you for the message.. and I think, we'll get back to you -- I've forgotten too much Spanish -- guess it's time to pick up that Rosetta Stone program...

I understand that Gerardo Cabrera (Alutara's vicepresident) knows english quite well, at least to write it in an understandable way Confused ... perhaps they are still assuming that your email is a joke from another countryman... Frowner

My first attempts to participate in Alutara (aside from the annual contribution) were considered with certain mistrust, as if they were doubting about my real intentions Roll Eyes ... as if I was looking to gain some power through ALUTARA Eeker
