2-C crushed walnuts or pecans
2-C vanilla wafers, crushed
1-T conf. sugar
1/2 C rum or brandy (be brave + experiment!)
Roll into balls + coat with more confec. sugar,
place on a covered tray for two days in your fridge, no cooking necessary, to let the flavors blend. Take out + enjoy! As an addendum, Linda wants to try this next time. Same recipe but instead of the time consuming balls, consider making a roll on wax paper ala crescent rolls + then just allow folks to slice a piece off. Same taste + less effort on the cook.

Gonna try this sooner or later. Wonder how it would be covered in chocolate?

I'm game to try them!
They contain all my favorites.
Thanks,

Ann, you KNOW that everything's better covered in chocolate; interesting thought though, as we discussed before that recipes are a starting point for one to add variety.

Cocoanut would sure keep them moist. It's a staple in my buttermilk pie recipe.
