Cast iron fried 2020 whitetail loin with cream of mushroom soup as a sauce.
Soup recipe included:
Finely minced bacon, crisply fried prior to mincing.
Boletes from my land left as slices (I dehydrated them after collection).
Elephant garlic from my garden, minced.
Fresh portobellos minced in a food processor.
Quartered common Agaricus (store bought buttons).
Parsley
Black pepper
Salt
I cheated on the soup base and used a big can of Heinz cream of mushroom soup.
I sautéed the agaricus and garlic in a little bacon grease before adding to the soup pot.
