I don't remember how I came across this recipe but it is a keeper. Ingredients: 1 Cup peanut butter 3/4 Cup quick oats 3/4 Cup honey (can substitute maple syrup) 3/4 Cup chocolate chips 1/2 Cup whole wheat flour 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/8 tsp salt 1 Tbsp ground flax 3 Tbsp water Mix flax and water and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Mix dry ingredients, add flax mixture, then honey, finally peanut butter. Place in a greased baking dish and bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Wait until fully cooled to remove from pan. We keep these in the refrigerator, they tend to be crumbly when warmer. I am a beekeeper so have plenty of honey. I like to use a stronger flavored honey with this recipe to get more of the honey flavor not just sweetness. I have not used maple syrup. Tom

Hi, Tom - I like the look of these. I'm guessing they would be great on a hike or in the field chasing deer. Even if they are crumbly, a person could keep them in a bag!
