I have a good 12 Ga. slug load using Federal 3" compression formed high brass hulls. I've lost my source for these. Is there a Remington or Winchester hull that is a direct subsitute so I don't have to find another load combination? I'm using the Lyman 535 gr slug which I cast from wheel weights, 48 gr of Blue Dot powder and Winchester white WAA12 wads and a standard 6 point crimp. Thanks.

My experience is that there is no subsitition in shotgun reloading. The Federal Gold Medal style is a larger capacity hull than remington STS or Winchester AA (or the 3" versions of them.) Sorry, but I think you are SOL for a replacement. You may just as well go on line and find a bunch for sale somewhere else.
