Some days a fellow just gets lucky.

Last month my grandfather died at the age of 99. Hated to lose him, but after all, he was 99 and we should all be so lucky to have a ride that lasts that long.

Anyway, today I got a phone call from my mother who is his youngest daughter. She asked if I wanted something of my grandfather's. Of course I said yes. I was expecting maybe his watch or an old rifle. But it was even better.

Today I became the proud owner of a 1969 Ford F250 with a 390 cubic inch engine. As far as I know, it is as original today as the day it left the factory. It has been garaged and has never been wrecked or even dinged beyond normal road stuff.

Now to get it from Colorado to my duty station in Virginia.

Cheers Y'all
