Why? You don't believe I've been enjoying the same Chevy for almost all my adult life?

Why don't you answer the thread's question, not go off on a tangent?

You are an unpleasant fellow, aren't you Dave. What is it about the internet that makes you so combative?

14 years. Happy now?

Now let's see some pictures of you classic.

Whoa! You don't like being treated negatively like you treat others, what a surprise! Everyone on this new forum has been positive and friendly.... except you! By the way, it looks like the header has been changed to add modified cars, guess you will have to find something else to Bitch about.

Cripes, you act like this is some sort of competition; it's only a discussion.

Nope, you popped off first, I only responded in kind.

Very nice. Details please.

Popped off??? by asking to stay on topic? This thread isn't about my car, per se.

I'm just trying to find out how many enjoyable (or not) years other AR member's rides are giving them. I'm sick of all the keyboard commandos who chime in with the "I use to own __________ (fill in the blank with the hottest muscle car ever made.) It's always past tense.
Harley owners say it best with their sticker, "Instant bikers suck!"

1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible with auxiliary hardtop. Original paint code #990 Monaco Orange.
Firestone tire blew April Fool's Day '78...$3200 damage. Subsequent government recall helped others but not me.

EDIT: I felt compelled to post the above pic to dispel those AR members, and you know who you are, who labeled me a troll, as the top pic could have been any one of the 4000+ Corvettes @ Carlisle event.

I don't give out bogus info in guns or reloading threads either. I've got enough life experiences of my own, I don't have to make shit up.

Stop being so damned defensive and enjoy yourself, Dave. I get the impression that you don't enjoy AR much as so many of your posts are laced with hostility. Lighten up.

I don'yt think anyone doubted you have a Stingray, they just wanted to see it. Let's see some more!

Nice, Dave! Love the L-88 hood! I also think side pipes look great on Stingrays.

Actually it's the heavy duty hood off the only documented 1969 ZL1 all aluminum 427, which was 5 jobs ahead of mine on the St. Louis assembly line September 11, 1969. Bought from Kevin Mackay of Corvette Repair, Inc when that coupe was restored for then owner Ed Mueller in '86.

ZL1 at Roger's Corvette Center

A Kevin Mackay/Penske story

Needed to clear the Vertex magneto.

A distinction without a difference to some, but not to me.
