Try the classified section. Pictures and manufacturer recommended of course. Lots of ranchers/farmers on AR. Life itself is a gift. Live it up if you can.

Made in 2002...12-valve or 24? The ECM is getting older, does it still work ok? There is a gasket on the driver's side of the Cummins that goes bad and leaks after awhile, worth a quick look. Not so much mileage-related as time-related. That and Murphy's Law that says stuff breaks right after it goes out of production. Mine is a 1993, I'm familiar with time-related failures (and some other ones). TomP Our country, right or wrong. When right, to be kept right, when wrong to be put right. all cars running down the road are nothing but a pile of used parts so a day old part can break and a 30 year old part can break so most parts are replaceable or rebuildable so i dont get your point

I have a 2011 CC LB 4x4 CTD with 84,000 miles on the clock that is near excellent and IF I wanted to sell it I don't think it would fetch much over $35,000. I don't know which dealers you are quoting prices from but I think they are in a dream world. Dennis Life member NRA

It’s crazy this year with the shortage of new and even used vehicles. Great time to sell.

Now that you mention it, I don't either... When I talked to the Dodge dealer about a replacement ECM, he looked at me like I had two heads and only half a brain between them. TomP Our country, right or wrong. When right, to be kept right, when wrong to be put right. Carl Schurz (1829 - 1906)

I STONGLY disagree. I just traded my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins with 450,000 miles for a new 2021 Ram of the same spec. That old truck required something on the lines of $6,500 in total repairs over a 17 year period. Best trucks on the road. For that matter, I traded a 2002 Dodge Viper last year for a new sports car. I owned that car 8 years and never had a single issue with it, driving it from 21,000 miles when I got it to 78,000 miles when I traded it. The make you really want to avoid is anything associated with FORD. Had 5 of them. All lemons. Never again.

Not to side track the post Todd but it’s interesting you say that. I owned an 05 dodge diesel. Great motor, pulled amazing. When I first bought, drove down a gravel road and it sounded like I was driving in a tin can. In 2012, bought a 6.7 Ford diesel. By far, the best truck I’ve owned. Made one repair (def heater). 162,000 miles and runs like the day I bought it.
