Poor quality scanned photo. A 1967 GT-500 powered by a medium riser 427 side oiler. Mechanically perfect and quite a beast. Some years later it received proper paint and was sold a bit later.

One of the guys in my local classic car club has about 6 or 7 of the different versions of those. Got some pics somewhere.

All nice stuff I must say. When I finish this vette project, I am going to do a 65 or 66 chevelle pro street like Doubledown's. Love em!! Steve Formerly "Nganga"

Here's one of the last small-blocks (346-inches) I built..... It made 650 eager horsies (with a flat tappet cam I might add). It resided in a 2,900-lb Barracuda. Yes, it ran like a scalded ape. Boxhead, beautiful car! Did the GT 500s or any Mustang for that matter come from the factory with a 427 side oiler? Whitworth, theres a Mopar guy in every crowd! those duel quads on that tunnel ram make me smile. We need some Cam 2 to go with this thread.

Is that Littlefield a 10 or an 8?, I've got a 10:71 on a 540 inch boat motor 12lb's on 100ll aviation fuel. Formerly "Nganga"

Its an 8-71 on a 509ci with two 930cfm carbs methenol injected and runs on 110. At 10 lbs of boost makes 1000hp on the street. Drop it into second gear at 60 mph and stand on it, and those 18" wide rear tires go up in smoke! Cam 2 and burning rubber is right up there with Hoppes and gun smoke!
