If you go to www.tcarms.com for contact information then call them, those fine folks at T/C will send you one for free. I just did that very thing and I am in Canuckistan!
While you wait, try between 70 and 80 grains of powder and try both 530rb and 535rb as well as 10,15 and 18 though patches. Be careful that you don't get a ball stuck because of a too tight a combo of patch and ball. It would be worth your while as well to try FFG and also pick up a bottle of T/C No13 cleaning solution. It makes for easy clean ups and if you do get a round stuck a liberal dose of No 13 helps to lubricate it for easier removal. Have fun,we are! derf

Thanks Derf,
Currently I am using 90 grains of 3Fg and getting good groups at 100 yards using the .530 rb and .015 patch. I just thought perhaps the powder charge was a bit stiff. I actually ran it up to 110 grain and still had fairly decent groups at 50 yards. I suppose I am still a little high.

80 gr. Goex FFF with 310 gr Buffalo Ballet.

There's no actual lube in T/C-13. It is one of a million solvents that you can douse a patch with. Very weak stuff... will not remove anything more than blackpowder fouling. If you encounter leading, copper, plastic or carbon buildup, like mild soap & water solutions, it may produce white patches in a still-dirty bore. A real bp solvent like Butch's unleashes buildup in your bore that T/C-13 leaves behind.

I just bought a used Renegade which did not have an owner's manual. If I am using a PRB and 3Fg powder, what are the minimum and maximum loads for this rifle?

50 grains of that powder w/ a PRB should be a good plinking/target load, and I would not use over 110 grains of FFFg in a .54. However, if you switched to FFg, I use 110 grains with a .535" PRB in my .54 cal. Santa Fe Hawken as a hunting load. This gives around 1800 FPS MV, which is plenty for stuff up to elk!

Those Santa Fe's by Uberti are in my opinion - nicer Plains rifles than the Lyman GPRs. I think they're also about $100 more than the GPR too. I'm glad no one around here sells the Uberti Santa Fe. I know I'd get sucked-in to buy one if the wood's as nice as the pics I've seen.

You are right about it not being a lube but I have found that if a ball gets stuck just wetting the patch does help. Also since I only shoot prb or Buffalo bullets(no sabots) I don't have a problem with plastic in the bore. I use the No.13 for range "quick cleaning" and the Smoking hot water with dish detergent method when I get home.
Incedentally, I am using an Italian Hawken 50. derf
