I'm thinking that the faster burn rate of the 3F may be more beneficial in my 24" short barrel. Of course I will back off the usual 90 gr starting load down to about 85 grains.I'll be using loose powder and 777 209 primers. Any thoughts on this ????
I would test both granulations to see which gives you the best accuracy. If you have access to a chronograph as well, so much the better, as you can compare identical volumes of the two granulations to see which gives the best combination of accuracy and muzzle velocity. If you don't have access to a chronograph, then shoot for accuracy every time. Bullet placement is the most important factor in killing game.... Certainly, 85 grains of FFF is not too much for a starting load, and that amount should group pretty well also.

Nice looking Knight what base and rings are you using? I have a MK85 Predator 54cal that I would like to scope. Also where did you get the bullets, is your Knight a 50 or 54cal?
