I have a new gun coming, a Knight Disc Extreme with a 24" barrel. I have seen some web sites that advise 3F Triple Seven and others that advise 2F Triple Seven. I plan to start my load work with 250 gr sabots. I'm thinking that the faster burn rate of the 3F may be more beneficial in my 24" short barrel. Of course I will back off the usual 90 gr starting load down to about 85 grains.I'll be using loose powder and 777 209 primers. Any thoughts on this ???? Elite Archery and High Country dealer.

I would test both granulations to see which gives you the best accuracy. If you have access to a chronograph as well, so much the better, as you can compare identical volumes of the two granulations to see which gives the best combination of accuracy and muzzle velocity. If you don't have access to a chronograph, then shoot for accuracy every time. Bullet placement is the most important factor in killing game.... Certainly, 85 grains of FFF is not too much for a starting load, and that amount should group pretty well also. "Bitte, trinks du nicht das Wasser. Dahin haben die Kuhen gesheissen."

Shot this five shot group @ 60 yards with 80grs of FFF Triple Se7en and a White PowerPunch 460 grain bullet. This is an Original Knight Super Disc with the 1:20 twist but, I replaced it with the Disc Exteme bolt kit.

Nice looking Knight what base and rings are you using? I have a MK85 Predator 54cal that I would like to scope. Also where did you get the bullets, is your Knight a 50 or 54cal? Swede --------------------------------------------------------- NRA Life Member

I just noticed a typo "I said it has the 1:20" it has the 1:30 sorry about that. I could not get this rifle to shoot worth a crap until I shot the real long and heavy bullets.
