Well kids the big game season is over for me for another year. Now I can learn what I can do with my new 300 win. on the smaller stuff. I would really appreciate knowing if anyone has a pet load for a 300 win mag pushing 110Gr. bullets. I know there will be some that tell me to buy a 22-250 or the new 204 Ruger but I'm appealing to the guy out there that has a wife and a budget that makes him use what he's allowed. I have a spanking new Ruger #1 stainless and I want to play.

And a quick FYI, on that 110 gr. .308 bullet. Lotta folks have reported that they had trouble getting accuracy out of it, in larger .30 cartridges. I load this bullet in the .308 over a charge of Unique. Works good inside 75 yards for most close range varminting, but past that, the varmint had best be pretty big. Can't beat the price of them 110gr though.... [ 12-04-2003, 13:32: Message edited by: badgerrr ]

Can't help with the 300 mag load, but I have played with the 110 V-MAX in my '06 and it will go MOA or better at 100 yds. I load 55 grains of IMR 4064 with a CCI BR-2 primer for about 3300 FPS. Good shooting, Wyo

A 150 gr made for the 30-30 will be very fragile at 300mag velocities and the rifle might handle them better than the 110s.
