| You might consider Kelblys rings and bases. They make a set of bases that are like scope blocks for the old-style external adjustment scopes, and rings to fit.

You can troll Gunbroker and some of the big mail order houses or maybe Brownells. I got a set for about $20 like that. They were marked Browning but appeared to have been made by Burris. |

I bought the Winchester 45-70. I found a set of Browning bases but they will require some modification. I will probably use the weavers until I can have a custom quarter rib built. Thanks for the help everyone. |

| I got the weaver bases, put it all together and took it out for a trail run and barrel break in. This thing clover leafs Hornandy lever ammo at 100yds. Chronographs slightly faster than factory published velocites.
