I got the correct sight for my rifle but the tang sight doesn't line up right. The upright detent has the tang sight leaning back just a little bit, in other words I have to push the top of the staff forward about 1/2 inch for it to provide the correct picture. Is there anyway to fix this short of getting a new sight? Thanks for any info. Steve E......... NRA Patron Life Member GOA Life Member North American Hunting Club Life Member USAF Veteran

If you have a Soule type tang sight, your notch spring should be slotted to allow the sight to be plumbed to the rifle. Loosen the screw and adjust the spring. ![]() ![]()

I might be SOL and just have to get another sight. I'm sorry I should have mentioned what sight I have. It is the Pedersoli RS-CREED-3-E base is a RS-Creed-Base to fit hole spacing. This sight does not have an adjustable spring, the spring fits in a slot milled in the base and is held in place with the base of the staff. Try taking the staff off and turning the spring around detent may not be in the center.

This may be a "Mickey Mouse" way of doing it, but why not put a spacer of some type under the tang sight to raise/lower one end to get the correct "stance". You could have a wedge shaped spacer could avoid a gap in the fit. Just a thought.

Well I solved the problem, I took the staff off and took my Dremel and slowly worked the forward edge of the notch forward and the gave the spring a little more bend to fit in the notch more and world of wonders it worked. Just goes to show I do get something right. LOL. Steve E.......... NRA Patron Life Member GOA Life Member North American Hunting Club Life Member USAF Veteran
