Can anyone recommend a gunsmith to do a trigger job on my Browning 1885? I hear they are a bit of a mousetrap and getting good triggers is problematic. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. sbsmith

Not trying to be negative here but, what exactly is the problem with the factory trigger? The 2 Browning High-walls I have shot both broke very crisp and were adjustable down to about 3lbs. Though neither was a BPCR, one a 45-70 and the other a 270win.

There a posting on assr about tuning the 85 trigger and a guy that specializes in it. I think he adds a set screw throught the back of the action. http://www.assra.com/cgi-bin/yabb/yabb.pl

My Browning highwall's trigger breaks at 1.5 lbs...a bit light, but a joy to shoot. It has no creep. Good hunting, Andy ----------------------------- Thomas Jefferson: “To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”
