I have just seen the most magnificent single shot rifle at my gunsmith's shop. It is a single shot Belgian "COMBLAIN" falling block with 34inch barrel full tang and globe front sight combination chambered for 50/110 Winchester. It has an exposed hammer like a 1885 Win but the trigger/hammer spring is housed in the trigger guard that falls with the block. Anyone know about these things?

Not a bad rifle at all!! Better in the caliber you found!! Read Frank De Haas's description of the Comblain in his Single Shot Rifle book. ![]()

Bad Ass Wallace, I don't know how to post links, but if you Google search <Animation du fusil Comblain> and use the translator, you will be interested in the graphic there. Cheers from Grayest California, Ross
