BuddyK-97mm Mag to 416 Taylor
Have access to a Winchester 70 7mm mag Laredo rifle. What am I in for by reboring/chambering to the taylor. Specifically any feeding problems?
Thanks
Jeff

ramrod340No issues on the feeding. Basically the same case. If it were mine I would go new barrel vs rebore. But that's me. Do a search there have been several listings for locations that handle the rebore.

jeffeossono feeding issues, unless the 7 had some.
the 416, 458 and 470 ARs (hit my home page in the signature) are designed to drop into these actions, and have. Do a search on bigbores, as well.

HanselI have done a Taylor, it was an easy job! All you have to do is rebarrel and finish ream the chamber to set headspace. BTW: It will be cheaper to just rebarrel.
It is a slight possiblity, but not likely that you might need to adjust the feed rails...That said I had NO adjustment, and My Taylor feeds like snot on glass and is my favorite hunting rifle.
You won't regret a Taylor...I don't...It will effectively drop anything on this planet short of the paleolithic period!
Welcome to the Taylor club! She is a wonderful cartridge that makes for a handy, easy to carry, and shoot weapon!
