Finally going to get my sako 222 rebarrled. Iam going with a douglas SS. what twist do you think I should get. Iam not sure what the original barrel has for twist but I think it is 1:14? I mostly shoot 40g bullets up to 55gr The rifling is so faint that i cant get aood read. Dave | ||

Almost all .222s are 1:14. I personally see little reason to change, given the comparatively small case. IMHO, a .222 is at its best with a 50-53 grs bullet - for which the 1:14 twist rate is just perfect. - mike ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon...
