I ask the same question in the big bore forum...

Would a take off barrel from a RH model 70 in 416 fit a LH action from a 375 H&H?

Assuming both are Mod 70's and push feeds. Extractor cut is on opposite sides on the CRF's.

You could also set it back 1/2 a turn and clean up the chamber and head space it again. Then remount your sights at 180 degrees.
