i know this doesn't answer your specific question, but i got a left handed long magnum action in chrome moly last week. i am almost half way there. of the five i ordered and paid for i have received two. both of them have been nice without some of the problems i have read about. hang in there the left handers in some variations do exist and i am sure that they are trying to catch up.

Does the term: "Caveat Emptor" ring a bell? What do all of you plan on doing when this company goes belly-up (which doesn't sound all that improbable from what I've been reading on here) before you get your actions from them? Rick

I have nothing but good things to say about MRC, never a problem. Doug

As with any manufacturing company we have had our ups and downs. Thank you all for your comments whether they are good or bad, it helps us to grow as a company and to strive to do better with each customer. I can assure you all that we are not going "belly up", and that our production is moving along. We do have some configurations of the LH Model 1999 available and the rest of them won't be long now. I realize this has been said many times before but EVERY Left hand action from customer orders have been produced and is in the manufacturing pipeline. This does not mean they will all go out right away but we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For those of you who have actions on order and have waited such a long time "Thank You" for your continued patience. We are now in the stages of bulding inventory of each specific action and it is our goal to have all customer orders filled within the next two months. Again, with production there is always going to be "hicups" along the way so there can never be a guarantee. But please look to previous posts from our customers and see that they are being filled as fast as we can get them out. If there are any specific questions please contact me personally and I will do my absolute best to answer your questions. Thanks, Jeff

I have had my LH SS magnum action on order for 16 months as of today (8/24). Because you got yours, albeit in CM, I am encouraged. And Jeff says every action ordered has been produced and will soon be on its way to us. I can continue to wait for a quality item.

Things are looking up for my LH Long Action. Jeff told me he actually went out in the shop and touched it! YEEEEHAAAWWW! Wait'ns a terrible thing, but I think it will be worth it. As far as Jeff, and Dan and the rest of the folks at Montana, I personally think they've been straight with us as best they can be, considering this was a startup venture. The delays as dreadful as they have been, have been dealt with as best as they could. Just my opine.

Had three left-hand stainless-steel long-magnum-actions on order. Received one of them about a month ago. At the time, posted pictures. It is now in my gunsmith's possession. So far, he likes what he sees. Hammer

I might have one of the first Left Hand, Stainless Steel, 1999 short actions to be sent out! Jeff left me a message that my action was done except for the bottom metal which is expected within a week and asked me if I wanted to ship it seperately. I told them to go ahead and ship the action to my FFL because I have to sit through Commiefornia's 10 day waiting period for the action anyway. This morning they called and asked for a new credit card for the shipping because my old one had expired. (After 17 months that's not unusual, LOL)

My left hand barreled action is sitting in Serengeti's shop being fittied with a AA claro stock. It's also been sent over to a smith to have the raceways, bolt and interior surfaces polished, the action has been squared and a 358win barrel attached. I've also waited a long time, but MCR has always been upfront with me and answered every inquire I've sent. I just don't see where all these non-MCR owners get the idea they are experts on a product they haven't seen and rely on so called experts that are working only on word of mouth rumors. I have not had this experience. I also have two more actions on order.

I can't have an opinion on the MRC actions because I've never seen one. Hopefully I'll be visiting mine early next week (&^%$# California waiting period). If it is exactly as described by MRC (A basic solid action to start a custom project on) then I also will be ordering at least one more. I feel the need for a left handed 375 H&H as a stopping rifle for fang faced pasture poodles. ![]()

I had them ship my LH SS short action w/o the bottom metal so my smith could install a MRC barrel I bought two years ago when I was in Kalispell. Fjold, I think you will really like it. I do.

well, i have actually gotten two so far. if yours are like mine you can barrel it, bead blast it and go shoot. if you want to refine it more it can be made real slick and remain tight. at least you know its metal and history. not something that can be said about foreign converted military rifles.

I spoke with John at MRC today, and he advised me that my sons LH stainless long action with a magnum face will be mailed out tomorrow. In the near future, I fully expect to see serial #21 sporting a Lilja barrel in a .300 Weatherby in our elk camp. If the quality of my sons action is comparable to my MRC RH stainless SA, we will both be happy campers. CP.
