I have a Iver Johson Trailsman .22 Pistol. It has been taken apart the wrong way, The slide is locked up partially open and I have no idea how to fix it. Can someone give ne the name & number of a qualified Gunsmith that would be willing to take this on? PM me with details. Thabk you Larry

Should be like a Colt Woodsman. Is there a button on top of the slide in front of the rear sight? Sounds like you got it in the #1 takedown position. Remove mag and make sure it is unloaded. Press on the top of the backstrap to pull slide off while you pull the trigger

No, I think this is the Mid Version. There is a hole where the takedown button used to be. I did get it a part; but I think something is missing. I want a gunsmith that knows these guns to look at it. Thanks anyway. Larry

I would like to send this to a qualified Gunsmith and have him go thru it and make sure all is well. My local Gunsmith has retired, and I don't know of any other ones.
