I am slowly getting all of the pieces together for my custom 03 project in 7x57. I have the original machined guard in good shape. Outside of reshaping the bow, does anyone have any ideas or examples for other custom touches? I'll add, that I am not overly fond of bottom lever f.p releases. Anyone know of a particular smith that reworks these guards?

Jeff, That did occur to me, just a little bending, but I am thinking of staying with the original for now. Lee.

3 position safety is always a very nice custom touch, thats the next piece in my 03 project.
I am with you on the floorplate release I actually prefer to leave the military release but I'm different than most.
