Fal GruntWhat exactly is this?
I thought at first maybe this was a John Pierce wanna be... then the lugs really through me off. They look like a 788?
http://www.gunbroker.com/Aucti....aspx?Item=180452296Anyone have any idea? Quite strange.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

M1TankerI was thinking it is possibly one of the Voere actions. Maybe a Sauer? There was also a company called Golden Eagle that made a Weatherbyish looking rifle that had a similar look.

Weatherby and Newton are the only ones I can think of with the front locking like that.
788's had the rear lugs.

Here is what is claimed to be a M375 Lakelander:
http://forums.gunboards.com/sh...5261-Lakelander-M375It is similar but not that model. Maybe an earlier version? Whatever it is, it looks like it spent some time at the bottom of a fjord.

I've seen a couple shop made actions in my travels, this action strikes me as one especially as it has not been ID'd to a particular manufacturer- I'd agree; looks like a gunsmith got the bug and tried one.
